時事英語與國際觀
This
interdisciplinary course will be built on News English and Media Communication,
and hence calls for collaborative teaching between the instructor and field
experts, and cooperative learning among peers. In order to contextualize
complicated issues in world news, online debate will also be used as class
activity for students to engage for meaning making.
1. Students will be aware of
their learning needs for news English, journalistic genre knowledge and
international relations
2. Students will develop
reading and listening comprehension when accessing international news media.
3. Students can voice
themselves and engage in intellectual discussions/debates in a safe
environment.
4. Students will develop a
critical view when selecting and processing news.
will begin to grow interests in global issues and reading/watching quality
news.
